Ratheesh Biography

Ratheesh(1954- 2003) was famous Malayalam Film Actor and was a busy TV artiste. He was native of Kalavoor in Alappuzha. He has acted more than 50 films and some TV serials

Ratheesh started his career in Malayalam film Vezhambal in 1977. But it was K.G.George who gave a break through Ullkadal in 1979.He became hero through I.V.Sasi's Thusharam in 1981. From 1981 to 1988 it was the peak time of Ratheesh.

Some of his best performances was in films like Ee Nadu, Rajavinte Makan, alongside Mohanlal, Muhoortham 11.30, Vazhiyorakazhchakal, Ayiram Kannukal, Abkari, Unaru, Ithraym kaalam, Thandram, Akkachiyude kunjuvava, John Jaffer Janardhanan, alongside Mammootty, Ponthooval, etc.

After that he reduced acting in too many films and until 1989-90 he was in the field and then quit . After period of 4 years he came back through Shaji Kailas Commissioner which is considered as his outstanding competitive performance between hero Suresh Gopi. After that until his death in 23rd December 2002 he acted around 20 movies. Malayalam film industry lost a handsome hero of eighties.
