Shivaji Biography

Sivaji is an accomplished Indian actor, politician, and dubbing artist, renowned for his contributions to the Telugu film industry. His talent as a dubbing artist earned him the prestigious Nandi Award for Best Male Dubbing Artist for his work on the film "Dil," where he provided the voice for Nitin.

Sivaji hails from Narsarsopet in the Guntur district. His journey in the entertainment industry commenced as an editor at Gemini TV. It was there that he was offered a role in a television serial, marking the beginning of his foray into Telugu cinema. In the initial stages of his career, he appeared in minor roles in notable films such as "Kushi" and "Indra." Notably, Sivaji did not come from a family with a background in the film industry. He also lent his voice for Nithiin during the early stages of the latter's career and played the second hero in several films. His breakthrough as a solo hero came with the 2003 film "Missamma."

Beyond his career in the entertainment world, Sivaji delved into politics. He became a vocal advocate for various political issues, particularly during the movement to keep Andhra Pradesh united. Despite being affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), he initiated a hunger strike demanding special status for Andhra Pradesh, a promise made by the former Congress government during the state's bifurcation. Initially critical of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and its leader, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, he shifted his support to TDP due to the lack of decisive action from the central government regarding Andhra Pradesh's special status. However, his involvement in political activities waned after the formation of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) government in Andhra Pradesh. Presently, he is embroiled in a controversy related to TV9.
