Varun Sandesh Jeedigunta is a south Indian actor who started his film career through Sekhar Kammula's film Happy Days. He was the youngest actor in that film (aged 18) when he was chosen to do the lead role of Chandu. He hails from a Telugu family from New Jersey, USA.
Varun is the grandson of famous Telugu writer Ramachandra Murthy, who worked for All India Radio for 28 years in Hyderabad, a well recognized voice through out AP during 1972 - 2000. He lives in USA with his parents and sister. His uncle Sridhar is a popular Telugu TV personality in Hyderabad, India.
The famous Telugu film producer Dil Raju had signed Sandesh for his movie Kotha Bangaru Lokam before his debut movie Happy Days was released. Incidentally, Raju distributed Happy Days for entire AP and the movie became a blockbuster.
Kotha Bangaru Lokam, which was released on October 9th, 2008 too drew full houses and was declared as another blockbuster. Sandesh's third film is currently under production by the reputed South Indian Film Production house AVM and is tentatively titled as "Evaraina Epudaina (premalo padocchu)".
