Biography
Yandamuri Veerendranath (Telugu: యండమూరి వీరేంద్రనాథ్) is a renowned Telugu novelist.

Yandamuri Veerendranath has influenced many growing minds with his interesting writings,which are socially relevant,He addresses all most all the relevant social problems in India like-poverty,prejudices,superstitions in his writings,and encouraged people to be socially responisible.He bridged two styles of literature Idealistic and popular and was very successful in his attempt.


Early life and background
Yandamuri Veeerendranath was born Rajolu, East Godavari Dist, Andhra Pradesh to Chakrapani, an Income Tax employee and Narasamaamba.

He did his schooling at Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Jammalamadugu, Anantapuram and Hyderabad. He did his B.Com at Kakinada. In 1972, he finished his Chartered Accountancy at ICAI.

After finishing Chartered Accountancy, he has worked for 5 years in State Financial Corporation and for 10 years as Chief officer in Andhra Bank Small Scale Industries dept. He has resigned his job to concentrate on literature.

During his schooldays, he used to take tuitions to support himself. And while doing B.Com, he has worked as an accountant writing cash flow statement.

Career
Yandamuri Veeerendranath is a multi-faceted character, being a playwright, novelist, movie director, personality development motivator and a Sahitya Academy award winner.

In Telugu literature, there has been dark days for men as female writers like Yaddanapoodi Sulochana Rani were doing well. Many writers used to write stories and novels with female pen names. Yandamuri is such a writer who broke these mental blocks of readers as well as fellow writers and has come up with his story Tulasi Dalam without using any pen names. He wrote about 50 novels including Vennello Aadapilla, Antarmukham. His works are translated into Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, English, Hindi, and Marathi.

His personality development book Vijayaniki 5 metlu (Success in Five Steps) has broken the all time record of Telugu literature, by crossing a turnover of Rupees Two Crores.

He has started Saraswati Vidya Peetham at Kakinada, a one-crore project, to educate Tribal and poor students the importance of education and personality development.

Yandamuri Veerendranath is one of the best-known contemporary novelists writing in the Telugu language. He is a native of Andhra Pradesh, India.

Personal life
Yandamuri married Anugeetha on 10 March 1974. They have a son Praneeth, an MBA graduate from INSEAD, France.

Popular culture
Many of his novels have been made into motion pictures in Telugu. He also directed a film with Mega-Star Chiranjeevi.
