Hollywood actor Idris Elba says he wants to get featured in films which are fast-paced and action-filled like Rocky after he completed his year-long professional K1 Kickboxing training for a role in the documentary titled Fighter.

"My agent has been fielding boxing scripts left, right and centre. They're not imaginative enough, though. Maybe one day I'll do a fight film but what would be the story? Comeback king of the year? I don't know," Elba said in a statement.

"I feel like I have more of a foundation in the art of fighting now for roles that require action-led fighting," the actor added.

Idris Elba added that the training in Kickboxing was "one of the toughest things" he has ever done for a movie role and now that he has got the training, he wants to utilise and showcase it through action movies. He is also quick to add, being a father is the toughest thing in his life, he has faced.

"It's a slightly different mindset when I'm acting, I came out of the film mentally scared because of how disgusting my character was. I'd rather train and fight than do that again. But nothing compares to being a dad - that's a labour of love and a different sought of toughness," said the actor.
