Hollywood
heartthrob
George
Clooney
was
showered
by
a
crowd
of
Hollywood
stars
when
he
received
the
2006
American
Cinematheque
Award
in
Beverly
Hills
on
Friday.
The
pleasant
charity
event,
held
for
the
filmmaking
charity,
American
Cinematique,
was
attended
by
many
popular
personalities
like
director
Oliver
Stone
and
stars
Geoffrey
Rush,
Salma
Hayek,
Lindsay
Lohan,
Christian
Slater
and
Julia
Roberts.
They
gave
fulcome
compliments
to
the
45-year-old
star,
whose
films
include
Good
Luck,
Good
Night,
Ocean's
Eleven
and
Syriana.
Slater
expressed
an
opinion
that
Clooney
is
worthy
of
getting
more
awards.
He
is
not
only
a
great
actor
but
also
great
director,
great
artist
and
incomparable
man
of
humour.
Clooney
said
friends
are
the
ones
who
will
get
you
out
from
hell.
But
doing
noble
acts
like
raising
money
to
help
American
Cinematheque
should
really
be
appreciated.
