<i>Departed</i> and <i>Dreamgirls</i> honoured

In the announcements made by International Press Academy on Sunday,The Departed was named best motion picture, drama and Dreamgirls was named as best motion picture, comedy for the 11th annual Satellite Awards.

The best director was awarded to Bill Condon for Dreamgirls and Clint Eastwood for Flags of our Fathers.

Jennifer Hudson earned the best supporting actor award for Dreamgirls. The Departed also earned best actor in a supporting role for Leonard DiCaprio, best adapted screenplay for William Monahan and best ensemble.

Meryl Streep was honoured with the top comedy-acting award for The Devil Wears Prada along with Joseph Cross for Running with Scissors.
