Shrek's Writer's New Venture

By By: Sunil Noronha

One of Shreks Script writers, John Stillman, has been signed up to write another animated film titled Planet One. The project that the acclaimed writer will be taking up is a story of a race of another planet, terrified of humans. It's quite contrary to the usual case when humans are terrified of the aliens, which fears an invasion by the Human race. The yet to be made movie is anticipated for release within the first three months of 2008. The new project is being developed by Worldwide Biggies; a company headed by Albie Hecht in collaboration with Animation Studios, which is based in the Spanish Capital, Madrid.

Albie Hecht was the erstwhile head of television channel Nickelodeon. John Stillman has also received Emmy Award nominations for his work in the series 'King Of The Hill' in 1997 and 1998. He along with Ted Elliott, Ted Rossio and Roger S.H. Schulman won the Award for Best Adapted Screenplay in the 2002 Grammy Awards. He also wrote for the show 'Beavis and Butt-head Do America' in 1996. He has to his credit one sole acting role in the film, Hi Mom, in '70.
