Antonio
Banderas
refuses
to
spoil
his
children.
The
Hollywood
actor
says
he
and
his
wife
Melanie
Griffith
make
sure
their
kids
know
"the
world
is
not
Hollywood".
He
said:
"I
don't
give
them
whatever
they
ask
for.
They
have
to
earn
it.
I
tell
the
kids
the
world
is
not
Hollywood.
I've
taken
them
to
Mexico
and
Argentina
when
I've
been
making
movies
there
so
they
could
see
how
kids
in
different
countries
live.
They've
seen
the
shanty
towns.
"I
don't
want
them
to
think
that
the
world
is
just
full
of
beautiful
cars
and
houses
and
everything
you
want."
Banderas
is
dad
to
Stella,
10,
and
stepfather
to
Griffith's
two
children
Dakota,
17,
and
Alexander,
21.
And
it
seems
the
'Shrek
the
Third'
star's
style
of
parenting
is
paying
off
with
daughter
Stella.
He
said:
"My
little
baby,
Stella,
is
a
straight
A-plus
student.
I
don't
know
where
she
came
from
because
I
wasn't
like
that
at
all
and
neither
was
her
mother.
"She
plays
and
is
sociable
but
when
she
gets
home
from
school,
she
goes
to
her
desk
and
does
homework.
I
keep
telling
her,
'You
don't
have
to
study.'
"
