talking
about
putting
her
royal
robes
back
on
for
a
third
time
to
play
the
16th
century
monarch
Elizabeth
I.
The
first
film
Elizabeth
earned
the
actress
an
Oscar
nomination
for
her
role
as
the
charismatic
monarch
in
1998,
and
Blanchett
insists
that
she
is
ready
for
a
third
film
on
the
Virgin
Queen's
life.
"There
are
endless
possibilities
with
Elizabeth...
And
I
think
there
will
be
a
lot
more
Elizabeth
(films)
because
she's
endlessly
fascinating",
Moviehole
quoted,
Blanchett,
as
saying.
Director
Shekhar
Kapur,
the
director
of
the
two
films,
is
very
keen
on
making
the
trilogy.
"The
first
one
was
about
power
and
love,
betrayal,
survival,
separation
and
disengaging
all
in
the
context
of
power.
This
one
is
much
more
about
absolute
power
...
and
being
divine
...
and
what
that
means" he
said.
"The
third
one
(would
be)
about
if
you
become
a
model
in
your
life,
how
would
you
face
mortality...
If
you
go
to
the
top,
and
you
suddenly
are
going
to
die,
you
become
average,
ordinary
by
dying
because
everybody
dies,"
he
further
added.
