Melbourne (ANI): Actress Drew Barrymore is all set to star in the film adaptation of self-improvement book 'He's Just Not That Into You', to be directed by Ken Kwapis. The 32-year-old will portray a woman who is confused by the dating scene in a gizmo-obsessed culture, where actual human contact is minimal.

The plot of the film revolves around modern-day relationships and how men and women often misread the intentions of the opposite sex. The book was written by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo, who worked on 'Sex and the City' as consultant and writer, respectively.

TV stars Kevin Connolly and 'Big Love's' Margene, Ginnifer Goodwin will also join the silver screen alongside Barrymore, Jennifer Connelly, Bradley Cooper and Justin Long in the flick. Jennifer Connelly will portray a women stuck in a boring marriage with Cooper's character. Kevin Connolly will play a man who is after a woman, who is having an affair with Cooper. Goodwin will star as a young woman who is obsessed with Kevin Connolly's character, and tries setting up accidental meetings with him only to run across his friend, to be played by Long.

'Never Been Kissed' writers Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein will write the script for the film, which commences production in September.
