Newlywed
Eva
Longoria
has
been
banned
from
having
children
by
her
'Desperate
Housewives'
boss.
The
show's
creator
Marc
Cherry
told
the
couple
during
his
wedding
speech
that
Eva
-
who
married
basketball
star
Tony
Parker
in
Paris
-
can't
get
pregnant
for
at
least
a
year
because
it
hasn't
been
written
into
her
character
Gabrielle
Solis'
storyline.
Eva
insists
she
is
"fine" with
the
pregnancy
ban
and
is
looking
forward
to
spending
time
alone
with
her
new
husband.
She
told
an
American
magazine,
"We're
fine
with
that.
We
want
to
spend
some
time
with
each
other,
even
though
we
want
kids
very
much."
Eva,
who
was
born
to
Mexican-American
parents,
was
keen
to
pay
tribute
to
her
Mexican
roots
during
the
ceremony.
Reverend
Dominic
Schubert,
who
officiated
proceedings,
revealed:
"We
added
the
Mexican
traditions,
with
the
lazo
(large
rosary)
and
the
dimes,
the
Bible
readings
and
the
lighting
of
the
unity
candle."
Eva
has
laughed
off
claims
Tony
chose
July
7
for
their
big
day
because
it
is
considered
to
be
a
lucky
date.
The
32-year-old
actress
said,
"Tony
is
probably
the
least
superstitious
man
I
know.
We
had
a
great
wedding.
It
was
quite
simple,
traditional
and
personal."
Tony,
who
plays
for
San
Antonio
Spurs,
added,
"It
was
the
only
day
we
could
both
do
it."
The
couple
opted
for
a
red
theme
on
their
special
day.
Guests
received
red
invitations
and
were
transported
to
the
reception
at
Ch?au
de
Vaux
le
Vicomte
on
red
buses.
Eva
also
chose
a
red
wedding
cake.
The
five-tiered
creation
-
flown
in
from
California
-
featured
a
vanilla
pound
cake
filled
with
crushed
organic
raspberry
preserve
and
white
buttercream.
Sam
Godfrey,
who
made
the
cake,
revealed:
"You
don't
see
a
wedding
cake
like
this
very
often.
It
has
a
little
flair,
but
it's
really
simple
and
sophisticated."
Tony,
25,
previously
dismissed
suggestions
their
wedding
cake
would
be
made
in
the
US.
He
said,
"Why
take
a
cake
from
the
United
States
if
it
is
France
that
makes
the
best
cakes?"
