Lopez
in
talks
with
Salma
Hayek
and
her
partner
Jose
Tamez's
production
company
Ventanazul
to
team
up
for
a
project.
Lopez
will
co-write,
produce
and
star
in
one
of
the
films
entitled
'Bones
Family'
of
the
MGM-based
shingle.
The
46-year-old
will
be
working
on
the
script
with
directors
Gabriel
and
Rodolfo
Rivapalacio.
The
plot
follows
a
father
who
tries
to
reunite
his
dysfunctional
family
by
taking
them
on
a
road
trip
to
Las
Vegas.
In
April
2007
Hayek
finalized
negotiations
with
MGM
to
become
the
CEO
of
her
own
Latin
themed
film
production
company.
Ventanazul
is
tapping
hot
young
talent
from
Mexico,
Chile
and
the
U.S.
for
its
first
three
projects
which
include
'Bones
Family'
along
with
'Diego
Ascending',
a
remake
of
Israeli
pic
'Bonjour
Monsieur
Shlomi'
and
Nicolas
Lopez's
untitled.
Tamez
insisted
that
the
films
will
show
that
Latin-themed
stories
cover
a
very
diverse
range.
"You
can
see
from
the
stories
we
have
selected
that
Ventanazul
is
committed
to
showing
the
film
community
and
the
broad
audience
that
Latin-themed
stories
fall
into
all
categories," Variety
magazine
quoted
Tamez,
as
saying.
