Washington (ANI): The fate of a low budget movie was put in
doubt after its female lead actress Gillian Anderson decided to
take up the offer to star in the new X-Files film. Anderson was
supposed to play the lead role in 'Helen', but pulled out just
weeks before filming started as shooting conflicted with the
X-Files movie. Her spokesperson insists that the decision to leave
the film had been a tough one for the star, and that she wished the
other members well.
"She had to make a difficult decision but the project remains
close to her heart. She wishes it well," Contactmusic quoted the
spokesperson, as saying. Anderson, who had previously insisted she
was finished with the popular sci-fi franchise, but admitted that
time had changed her mind.
"It was not something I longed for on a regular basis but as
soon as we start talking about doing it again I get very excited. A
lot has happened in the past few years but we are excited by each
other's company and I think it will be loads of fun," she said.
