London (ANI): Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe says that he has no qualms about romping in front of the camera if a movie role demands it. The 18-year old star, who bared all in West End play Equus, said that as a professional, it was his duty to do justice to the script. “If the script says smoke, I smoke." The Sun quoted him, as saying. “If the script says I have sex, then I have sex — that"s just what you do as an actor," he added.

Meanwhile Daniel has admitted that shooting in the upcoming film, December Boys, in the scorching heat of South Australia was a real challenge for him. “I"m not good in the heat at all so it wasn"t easy shooting it there. The hardest thing about it was the flies. One scene from the film that had to be cut because the flies were all over the camera lens and all over the actors," he said. “We couldn"t actually get our lines out because every time we opened our mouths we swallowed loads of flies!" he added.

Daniel Radcliffe, added more fan followers to his kitty at the Melbourne premiere of the Australian film. Several children had to be taken to safety guards, when fans among the 1000-strong crowd poured forward to get a glimpse of him. "Both the wonderful and scary thing about being an actor is you don't know what you're going to get sent," Daily Mail quoted the star, as saying. "Anything that's different, that will challenge me, is what I'm looking for." he further added.

The 18-year-old star plays an orphan competing with friends for the affections of a couple intending to adopt a child. The film, which is based on the late Michael Noonan's novel, marks Radcliffe's first major film role since the beginning of the Potter series in 2001. Director Rod Hardy said that with Radcliffe as star, it made a huge impact on the film's potential to reach a wide audience. "What can I say," he said. "This film has a heart that … once the word of mouth takes over, will do well. But they'll come because they want to see what Daniel's doing next." he further commented.

He revealed that that he hates gum chewers. The 18-year old recently admitted his strong dislike for chewing gum, and said that he hates it more when the confectionary is consumed in his presence. Though Radcliffe owned up to being partial to the habit himself, he said that he felt disgusted when he came across somebody chewing a gum. "I don't like seeing people chew gum. I remember watching an interview with someone," Contactmusic quoted him, as saying. “I can't remember who, and seeing them chewing gum the whole way through, and I was thinking-gaaaah!" he added.
