Washington (ANI): Sir Paul McCartney has dismissed reports of a romantic relationship with actress Renee Zellweger, insisting that they are just friends. The couple was rumoured to be dating after they were spotted dining together in New York. Zellweger, on Sept 4, 2007, added fuel to the reports of their relationship by asserting that she has a "crush" on the former Beatle.

The singer, who is presently occupied in a divorce battle with estranged wife Heather Mills, has insisted that he does not share a romantic relationship with the Bridget Jones's Diary star. "We're not dating. We're in the same group of friends and that's it," Contactmusic quoted McCartney, as saying.
