Sarah Paulson to star in The Spirit

Melbourne (ANI): Actress Sarah Paulson has signed up to star in Frank Miller"s “The Spirit" alongside Samuel L. Jackson and Eva Mendes. Lead role in the Miller helmed film has gone to Gabriel Macht. Samuel L. Jackson will be playing villain, The Octopus, Eva Mendes and Scarlett Johansson as femme fatales Sand Saref and Silken Floss, and recently the under-rated Gabriel Macht as Denny Colt/The Spirit, a rookie cop in the fictitious Central City who fakes his own death and then comes back as a masked crimefighter.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Paulson will be playing the role of Dr. Ellen Dolan, the police commissioner's daughter and also the hero"s true love, reports Moviehole. Also on board are Dan Lauria, who played Kevin Arnold"s old man on TV classic “The Wonder Years", and Louis Lombardi of “24" fame.
