Anne Hathaway's French dental scare

Melbourne (ANI): Anne Hathaway's recent visit to France has left a mark on her memory for all the wrong reasons after she broke her tooth and had a not-so-pleasant encounter with a French dentist. The 'Devil Wears Prada' star was in Paris for the launch of Lancome's new fragrance but her addiction to chewing gum left her with a broken tooth just a day before the event.

"I broke a molar while I was (in Paris), like, the day before the launch. I thought maybe I would be OK and I went out to dinner and I realised during dinner the nerve was exposed, so I had to go to a dentist," The Daily Telegraph quoted Hathaway, as telling Showbizspy.com. However, the worst part the 25-year-old has revealed was her meeting with the French dentist.

"I'm in France and I don't speak French and it was a big disaster. I brought my tooth, in case that was helpful... I realised eventually (the dentist) wanted to reattach my tooth. And I'm like, 'Is that a French thing?' I mean I'm an actress what do I know about dentistry," she added.
