Washington
(ANI):
The
Golden
Globe
Awards,
which
suffered
a
disruption
in
2008
and
had
to
adopt
another
approach
for
its
broadcast,
seems
set
to
repeat
its
cutting
act
for
a
second
time
in
a
row.
The
awards,
which
generally
ranks
as
the
third
most-watched
awards
show
each
year,
behind
only
the
Oscars
and
the
Grammy
Awards,
may
face
hampering
of
the
spotlight
again
owing
to
a
probable
strike
by
the
Screen
Actors
Guild.
The
past
year
had
seen
the
cancellation
of
the
65th
annual
Golden
Globe
awards
after
the
Writers
Guild
Strike,
which
had
reduced
the
highly
televised
red
carpet
event
to
just
a
media
announcement
of
the
winner's
list.
The
Globes,
which
are
set
for
January
11
on
NBC,
may
just
witness
another
repeat
episode
if
the
Screen
Actors
Guild
decide
to
go
on
strike
that
may
consequently
disrupt
the
awards
season
by
prohibiting
members
from
showing
up
at
the
ceremony.
According
to
Fox
News,
the
future
of
the
awards
perhaps
remains
disputable
with
rumours
of
cost
cutting
in
the
big
parties
staged
by
the
studios
surrounding
the
mega
event.
