Washington
(ANI):
Actor
Harrison
Ford
has
brushed
aside
rumours
that
his
Indiana
Jones
co-star
Shia
LaBeouf
will
take
over
his
role
as
the
action
hero
in
the
film's
new
instalment.
The
rumours
said
to
have
started
when
the
'Star
Wars'
actor
was
seen
passing
his
signature
archaeologist
hat
to
LaBeouf,
who
plays
his
son
in
the
2008's
'Indiana
Jones
and
the
Kingdom
of
the
Crystal
Skull'.
LaBeouf
starred
alongside
the
66-year-old
actor
as
the
whip-cracker's
young
friend
Mutt
Williams.
Ford,
however,
has
insisted
that
the
gesture
was
not
a
symbolic
one
and
that
there
was
an
obvious
difference
between
a
physical
and
metaphorical
action.
"No,
that's
never
been
(the
idea)...
I
think
it
just
doesn't
work
that
way," Contactmusic
quoted
him
as
telling
Moviefone.
"And
there's
definitely
a
distinction
between
passing
the
fedora
and
someone
picking
it
up,"
the
actor
added.
