roped
in
to
play
the
lead
role
in
Prince
of
Persia,
a
computer
game
inspired
flick
to
be
produced
by
Jerry
Bruckheimer.
The
Day
After
Tomorrow
star
will
be
playing
Dastan,
a
prince
in
sixth-century
Persia
who
must
join
forces
with
Tamina
(Arterton),
a
feisty
and
exotic
princess,
to
prevent
a
villainous
nobleman
from
possessing
the
Sands
of
Time,
a
gift
from
the
gods
that
can
reverse
time
and
allow
its
possessor
to
rule
the
world.
"He's
a
wonderful
actor.
He's
someone
I've
been
watching
for
a
long
time
and
somebody
I've
always
wanted
to
work
with," Variety
quoted
Bruckheimer,
as
saying.
Quantum
of
the
Solace
star
Gemma
Arterton
will
be
seen
playing
the
female
lead.
The
production
of
the
film
is
expected
to
start
in
July
in
Morocco
and
London
with
Harry
Potter
and
the
Goblet
of
Fire
director
Mike
Newell.
