Washington
(ANI):
James
McAvoy
has
praised
his
'Wanted'
co-star
Angelina
Jolie,
insisting
that
the
best
thing
about
the
actress
is
that
"she
doesn't
take
herself
too
seriously." The
Scottish
actor
revealed
that
he
had
fun
working
with
the
'Tomb
Raider'
actress
as
she
was
completely
down
to
earth
and
was
untouched
by
pretence.
While
Jolie
is
a
pro
in
action
films,
McAvoy
said
that
her
experience
proved
to
be
quite
valuable
to
him,
as
he
was
still
a
novice
in
the
genre.
Speaking
ahead
of
the
film's
release,
the
'Atonement'
actor
said
that
a
star
as
huge
as
Jolie
was
certainly
a
delight
to
work
with.
"The
thing
I
most
appreciated
from
Angelina
was
that
she
doesn't
take
herself
too
seriously.
And
she
kept
reminding
us
that
if
you
can't
have
fun
when
you're
making
an
action
movie,
you
shouldn't
be
doing
it," Contactmusic
quoted
him,
as
saying.
In
Wanted
McAvoy
plays
Wesley
Gibson,
apathetic
office
worker
whose
life
is
transformed
when
he
meets
the
enigmatic
Fox,
played
by
Jolie,
who
recruits
him
into
The
Fraternity,
a
secret
society
of
assassins.
In
the
course
of
his
training,
Wesley
is
subjected
to
a
brutal
beating
from
Fox,
a
scene
that
McAvoy
admitted
was
fairly
emasculating
to
shoot.
"I
don't
think
in
the
script
for
the
fight
scene
that
Wesley
throws
a
punch
but
in
the
film
he
says
'I'm
going
to
kick
your
f*****g
ass'
and
swings
for
her.
That
was
completely
added
because
I
felt
so
undermined!" he
revealed.
