Katie, Peter trying to hold their relationship together

Katie Price and Peter Andre
London (ANI): English glamour model Katie Price and her singer husband Peter Andre renewed their wedding vows in a bid to save their failing marriage. Pals, who witnessed them bickering constantly, fear that the two are going to split up after sometime.

Even relationship experts think that renewing their vows after just three years of marriage was a sign that it would not last. Jordan, 30, and 35-year-old Andre reportedly sneaked off to South Africa without their children Harvey, six, Junior three, and one-year-old Princess Tiaamii, to renew their vows.

"It's purely for us," the Daily Star quoted Andre as having told Star magazine. A source has revealed that things have not been going very well for the couple. "Their future really doesn't look like a bed of roses. There has been a lot of tension recently. They both love to have their own way," the source said.

"Maybe this was their way of trying to hold their relationship together," the source added. The couple have been at each other's throats on their ITV2 show Katie&Peter: The Next Chapter. Sporting a T-shirt with the slogan Love Kills Slowly, Andre was quite open about the relationship not working out.

"One day unfortunately we will go our separate ways and we will probably be much happier but at the moment we're working hard to make this relationship work," he said. "What I'm thinking is how incredibly horny my wife looks. And what I would give for her to actually be like that at home. It's all just a bloody act," he added.

Commenting about the trouble that Jordan and Andre are having, relationship expert Judi James stated that most renew their vows when something is going wrong in the relationship. "I would say that for 99% of celebs who renew their marriage vows that something ain't right," she said. “If it was any other celebrity couple, I would say their marriage could be in trouble, but in Peter and Katie''s case it could just be to drum up extra publicity," she added.

Paula Hall, a top relationship psychotherapist at Relate, was of the same opinion as James. "Renewing your marriage vows could definitely be one indication that a marriage might be in trouble," she said. "But it doesn't definitely mean that it is," she added. The couple's spokesman denied they had renewed their vows. "Everything about their marriage could not be better," he stated.
