Melbourne
(ANI):
Late
actor
Heath
Ledger's
family
members
are
reportedly
packing
their
bags
to
travel
all
the
way
from
Australia
to
New
York
to
attend
the
world
premiere
of
his
movie,
The
Dark
Knight.
The
film,
according
to
the
Los
Angeles
Times,
is
dedicated
by
director
Christopher
Nolan
to
the
actor
who
passed
away
this
year,
and
would
also
carry
a
memoriam
to
the
actor
at
the
end.
"Word
is
that
Heath
Ledger's
family
will
travel
from
Australia
to
attend
the
world
premiere
of
The
Dark
Knight,
the
late
actor's
final
completed
film,
in
New
York
in
late
June," The
Daily
Telegraph
quoted
the
paper,
as
saying.
The
movie,
due
for
a
July
release,
will
see
Ledger
playing
a
psychotic,
mass
murdering,
skateboarding
Joker.
His
performance
has
already
been
praised
in
reviews.
The
actor
died
at
the
age
of
28
years,
after
he
took
an
accidental
overdose
of
multiple
prescription
medications
in
his
New
York
apartment
on
January
22.
In
fact,
many
claim
that
it
was
Ledger's
edgy
portrayal
of
the
Joker
in
the
forthcoming
Batman
movie
that
had
left
him
unbalanced.
However,
Batman
actor
Christian
Bale
denies
this,
insisting
that
the
Perth-born
actor
was
in
a
calm
mood
before
his
shocking
death.
"He
was
incredibly
intense
in
his
performance
but
incredibly
mellow
and
laid-back,"
said
Bale,
34,
in
a
recent
interview
to
US
magazine
Details.
