Washington (ANI): Aussie actress Nicole Kidman's good luck call inspired Australian men's sailing team to win an Olympic gold medal. Malcolm Page and Nathan Wilmot of the Australian men's 470 sailing team, had won the gold medal on August 19 after receiving a 'best of luck' call from the Aussie beauty.

The call had come to Page's cell phone and since it was an "unknown number" he rejected it before realizing that it was Kidman calling, as reported by Melbourne's Herald Sun. "I was getting breakfast and thought, ''Ah, I just don''t want to talk to her today,'' so I bumped it," People mag quoted Page as joking. "Then two seconds later there was a message from Nicole wishing us good luck. I ended up returning her call. She was very happy," he said.

Page further revealed that he and his sailing partner had named their boat The Australian after Kidman''s upcoming movie. "She was very surprised that we do have a tradition of naming our boats after her movies and she''s just really stoked to be part of a team," stated.

Page and Wilmot have named previous boats after Kidman's films, including Days of Thunder and Dead Calm. Both athletes were asked if Kidman's call helped them clinch the gold medal. "It does go a long way, don''t worry about that," Page answered.
