London
(ANI):
American
actress
Teri
Hatcher
has
slammed
the
producers
of
hit
US
TV
series
Desperate
Housewives
after
they
did
away
with
the
role
of
her
screen
daughter.
Former
Bond
girl
Hatcher,
who
stars
as
disaster-prone
Susan
Mayer
in
the
TV
series,
admits
that
she
was
even
more
upset
when
she
realized
that
no
going
away
party
had
been
organized
for
Andrea
Bowen,
the
youngster
who
played
her
on
screen
daughter.
"This
is
a
decision
I
have
nothing
to
do
with
and
I
don't
support," Daily
Express
quoted
the
43-year-old
as
speaking
out
against
the
sacking.
When
the
final
take
of
her
role,
as
Julie
Mayer
being
sent
off
to
university
was
over,
18-year-old
Bowen
collapsed
in
tears
into
Hatcher's
arms.
Hatcher
immediately
threw
together
an
on-set
party
for
the
going
away
girl.
"I
told
the
producers
to
get
a
cake
and
some
flowers,"
she
said.
"I
love
and
adore
Andrea.
I
have
done
the
majority
of
my
work
with
her
for
four
years.
I've
watched
her
grow
up.
"I
can't
begin
to
tell
you
how
impossibly
hard
it
is
for
me
to
think
of
her
not
being
there,"
she
added.
