The 27-year-old mum of two maintained that her 21-year-old better half, who was previously slammed for partying with his mates while his wife battled the disease, had been a perfect partner.
“I know you will have read all about Jack"s latest brush with the law. I haven"t heard all the gory details – I"ve been too busy resting," the Sun quoted her as saying in her weekly column in New! Magazine. What"s important is that he"s been there for me, yes, despite all the pictures of him out and about with his mates! He"s been by my side every day, cuddling and kissing me," she added.
Speaking of their wedding night, she continued: “I told him to stay up and enjoy himself. It was his night too! He stayed up with the boys, pushing them around in my wheelchair and eating cupcakes. “Then around 2am, I woke up as he slid his arms around me. He"d put the boys to bed and come in for a hug. He really has been amazing. I was so happy that he got to spend the night with me at the hospital last Tuesday. It"s not the same as being at home but it"s a real treat having some special time alone. People forget how hard this is for Jack too."
