Julie Andrews likens singing after throat op

London (ANI): Sound of Music actress Dame Julie Andrews has likened the experience of singing after her throat operation to the afterglow of sex. The 74-year-old, who underwent surgery in 1997 that damaged her vocal cords, is set to perform a one-off concert at London's O2 arena.

In her biography Home, the Oscar winner described being able to sing "as addictive as opium" and "like sex before the moment of climax", reports the Telegraph. She told Channel 4 that singing was still pleasurable to her but was now "warm, glowing, it's, if you really want it, it's that moment after sex when you say 'Ah, great'.
