Mandy's ref confirms Moore Adams engagement

Washington (ANI): Mandy Moore and rock singer Ryan Adams are engaged, her representative has confirmed. The couple first began dating last March, but briefly split in July.

"Mandy is one of those genuinely sweet angelic people you wish to meet your whole life," Adams told Us magazine then, adding "unfortunately I am allergic to paparazzi and have found the best antidote to that sort of nonsense is staying behind the guitar and typewriter."

Moore, 24, crossed into movies with featured roles in films such as License to Wed, A Walk to Remember, Saved and American Dreamz. Adams, who played in the band Whiskeytown during the 1990s before turning solo, is known for his song "New York, New York," which appeared on his album "Gold," released in 2001.
