Tori Spelling slams ‘90210’ salary dispute reports

London (ANI): American actress Tori Spelling has hit back at reports that she had backed out of her role in TV drama '90210" because of a salary dispute. Spelling, 35, was to join former Beverly Hills, 90210 cast mates Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth in the new spin-off show.

According to her, she backed out because she had her duties as a mother, and could not commit to the project. The actress, whose TV mogul father Aaron Spelling produced the original show, insists that looking after her nine-month-old daughter Stella and two-year-old son Liam with husband Dean McDermott stopped her from joining the show, and that it had nothing to do with the money.

“When I heard about the show, I thought it would be a cool connection to go back, especially because of my dad and for the fans to see (her character) Donna (Martin)," the Daily Star quoted her as telling the New York Post.

“But when they were ready to film, I''d just had the baby, so the timing wasn''t right. When the offer came back around again, it was perfect. So it all worked out in the fashion that it was supposed to.

“That was all a build up in the press, such hearsay. It was never about money - I still, to this day, have no idea about what Jennie and Shannen made or make, so it clearly wasn''t an issue," she added.
