Model
Sophie
Anderton
has
revealed
before
Kingston
Magistrates'
Court,
Surrey
that
she
was
left
'hysterical'
after
her
stalker
Paul
Davis
sent
a
string
of
88
texts
messages
asking
her
to
marry
him.
She
said
that
Paul,
58,
first
contacted
her
to
propose
writing
a
biography
of
her
and
she
referred
him
to
her
management
company.
In
the
beginning,
he
started
talking
about
work
in
his
texts.
Despite
Sophie
telling
him
to
stop,
Paul
continued
to
send
text
messages
to
her
mobile
phone.
In
his
texts,
he
told
her
that
he
wanted
to
marry
her
on
a
mountain,
buy
her
a
solitaire
diamond
ring
and
take
her
for
dinner
to
Claridges.
His
texts
became
more
personal
and
he
even
discussed
arranged
marriages
with
her
in
a
message.
She
was
frightened
to
go
out.
"I
was
scared
to
go
to
restaurants,
I
was
scared
to
go
on
the
Tube
because
I
didn't
even
know
what
this
man
looked
like.
It
affected
my
life
greatly,''
the
Telegraph
quotes
her
telling.
"I
couldn't
walk
anywhere
without
looking
over
my
shoulder
and
I
was
frightened,''
she
added.
Despite
her
management
company
warning
Davis
as
not
to
contact
her,
he
did
contact
her
again
and
was
eventually
arrested
at
his
home
address
on
April
2.
However,
he
denied
one
charge
of
harassment
on
the
grounds
of
insanity.
