New
York
(ANI):
It
has
emerged
that
actor
Michael
Douglas" drug-dealing
son,
Cameron,
will
remain
in
jail
until
he
is
sentenced
in
April.
Cameron
Douglas,
31,
was
denied
bail
on
February
25
by
a
Manhattan
federal
judge,
who
said
the
actor
couldn"t
be
trusted
to
stay
off
dope
on
house
arrest.
“His
living
at
home
is
unlikely
to
prove
a
powerful
deterrent
to
relapse," the
New
York
Daily
News
quoted
Judge
Richard
Berman
as
ruling.
His
lawyers
argued
that
he
could
be
closely
monitored
and
receive
treatment
while
on
home
detention,
but
seeing
as
to
how
in
August
his
girlfriend
tried
to
smuggle
heroin
to
him
in
an
electric
toothbrush,
the
motion
was
denied.
Cameron
has
pleaded
guilty
to
dealing
crystal
meth
and
coke
from
the
trendy
Hotel
Gansevoort,
and
he
now
faces
at
least
10
years
in
prison.
