Kim Cattrall isn’t like Samantha Jones

Kim Cattrall, whose career is defined by her role of witty maneater Samantha Jones in the hit TV series, Sex and the City often disappoints people with her off screen persona. This happens because most of the people she meets expect her to be similar to her on screen sex mad character of Samantha Jones.

The 53 year old admits that her new acquaintances are often left disappointed after meeting her. She said that people expect her to do or say something outrageous which is so unlike her real self.

Apart from Sex and the City, Cattrall has played leading roles in the films of 1980s like Police Academy, Big Trouble in Little China, and Mannequin. She will reprise the role of Samantha Jones in the sequel of Sex and the City, 2008 movie which is due to release on 27th of May.

Catrall plays the role of an out-of-shape former adult star in her soon to be released film Meet Monica Velour.It has been recently announced that Cattrall will play the role of Cleopatra opposite Jeffery Kissoon as Anthony, in a production of Anthony and Cleopatra which will be directed by Janet Suzman.

Cattrall who already is a British and Canadian citizen became a citizen of United states in 2008.
