Dynasty actor Christopher Cazenove dies in London hospital

The
'Dynasty'
actor
Christopher
Cazenove
has
died
in
a
London
hospital.
The
64-year-old
actor's
death
comes
just
days
after
the
death
of
John
Forsythe.
He
was
fighting
a
"valiant
battle" with
septicaemia.
He
was
ill
at
his
home
earlier
this
month
and
was
being
treated
in
intensive
care.
He
died
peacefully
on
April
7,
his
family
said.
The
British
actor's
agent
Lesley
Duff
confirmed
his
sad
demise
in
a
press
statement.
"Christopher
died
peacefully
on
April
7
surrounded
by
his
loved
ones
having
contracted
septicaemia
at
the
end
of
February.
Despite
a
valiant
fight
and
the
untiring
efforts
of
the
wonderful
team
at
St
Thomas's,
he
was
overwhelmed," the
Telegraph
quoted
his
statement.
"All
who
knew
and
loved
him
will
be
devastated
by
the
loss
of
this
incredible
man
who
touched
so
many
lives,"
he
added
Christopher
Cazenove
was
born
on
17th
December
1943.
He
was
a
British
cinema,
television
and
stage
actor.
He
often
portrayed
British
aristocrats,
and
first
made
his
name
in
the
early
1970s
drama
series
'The
Regiment'.
His
other
notable
roles
are
Charlie
Tyrrell
in
the
UK
series
'The
Duchess
of
Duke
Street' and
Ben
Carrington
in
the
US
soap
opera
'Dynasty'.
He
also
appeared
several
times
in
the
British
drama
series
'Judge
John
Deed'.
