Stephenie Meyer to release new novella

By Ramchander

After Robert Pattinson got a waxwork at Madame Tussauds, London and carries on with his attempt to work outside of the 'Twilight" series, Stephanie Meyer has announced her plans to expand the 'Twilight" series.

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner will be published by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers. The book will be released on June 5 and will be from the point of view of Bree, a newborn vampire featured in Meyer"s third “Twilight" book, “Eclipse." The novella was supposed to be part of “The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide" but it got too long.

The publishers have announced that for each copy of the novella sold in the U.S., $1 will be donated to the American Red Cross International Response Fund, which supports disaster relief efforts such as those in Haiti and Chile. This is applicable only to the 1.5 million copies from the first printing.

“Twilight" fans are awaiting the release of the 'Eclipse" film adaptation at present. It will release on June 30.
