Robert Pattinson may be the hero of Spider Man 4

The latest buzz about Twilight star Robert Pattinson is that he may be the web-slinging superhero in Spider Man 4. The speculation about R Pattz playing Spider Man started after actor Tobey Maguire, who has played action hero and his alter-ego Peter Parker in the Spider Man franchises, announced his departure earlier this week.

Tobey Maguire said he had enjoyed starring as the Spider Man in three movies, but it was time for him to move on. "Beyond the films themselves, I have formed some deep and lasting friendships. I am excited to see the next chapter unfold in this incredible story," the Daily Record reports him as saying.

However Twilight star Robert Pattinson, who presently has two movies Bel Ami and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn in hand, is now emerging as a potential candidate for the lead role in Spider Man 4. It is said that along with Rob, Chace Crawford and Michael Cera are also in the competition for the role.
