Bullock
has
revealed
that
she
still
mourns
the
loss
of
her
mother,
nine
years
after
her
death.
The
Miss
Congeniality
actress,
whose
German
opera
singer
mother
Helga
died
of
cancer,
said
she
is
still
trying
to
come
to
terms
with
the
personal
tragedy.
"It
took
me
two
years
to
accept
that
she's
not
here.
It
doesn't
get
easier;
it
gets
harder.
But
it's
a
good
thing,
because
I
feel
it
and
I
value
it
and
I'm
not
rushing
through
life," Contactmusic
quoted
her
as
saying.
The
45-year-old,
who
was
named
2009"s
highest-earning
star
in
Hollywood,
further
unwrapped
her
ways
of
dealing
with
the
grief.
The
star
added:
"I
love
to
do
things
that
continue
what
she
started,
whether
it's
making
candles
or
creating
a
place
for
women
going
through
chemotherapy
to
spend
time
with
their
families."
