Actor Andrew Garfield came along with actress Emma Stone to the
movie booth of The Amazing Spider-Man at the San Diego
Comic Con on Friday, July 22. He slipped into the superhero costume
completely with the mask on. Talking to the media, the Spider-Man
depicter declared that Spider-Man saved his life.
Andrew Garfield said, "I needed Spider-Man in my life as a kid
and he gave me hope. He was living mine and every skinny boy's
fantasy." Meanwhile, the actor admitted that Spider-Man alter ego
Peter Parker inspired him, made him braver and showed him how the
bruises sustained in a struggle are worth it. He added, "He saved
Andrew Garfield was joined by Rhys Ifans, who plays Dr. Curt
Conners/The Lizard. Director Marc Webb said that he intended to
make it more realistic in terms of the characters and the setting.
