Spider-Man
at
the
San
Diego
Comic
Con
on
Friday,
July
22.
He
slipped
into
the
superhero
costume
completely
with
the
mask
on.
Talking
to
the
media,
the
Spider-Man
depicter
declared
that
Spider-Man
saved
his
life.
Andrew
Garfield
said,
"I
needed
Spider-Man
in
my
life
as
a
kid
and
he
gave
me
hope.
He
was
living
mine
and
every
skinny
boy's
fantasy." Meanwhile,
the
actor
admitted
that
Spider-Man
alter
ego
Peter
Parker
inspired
him,
made
him
braver
and
showed
him
how
the
bruises
sustained
in
a
struggle
are
worth
it.
He
added,
"He
saved
my
life."
Andrew
Garfield
was
joined
by
Rhys
Ifans,
who
plays
Dr.
Curt
Conners/The
Lizard.
Director
Marc
Webb
said
that
he
intended
to
make
it
more
realistic
in
terms
of
the
characters
and
the
setting.
However,
the
audience
were
presented
with
clips
from
the
movie
The
Amazing
Spider-Man
on
the
occasion.
