Chris Evans starts shooting for The Avengers

Actor Chris Evans, who recently appeared in Captain America: The First Avenger, has started shooting for his next movie The Avengers at East Ninth Street in Ohio early on Monday, August 15. The Hollywood star was snapped arriving at the location in his famous leather bomber jacket and chatting with director Joss Whedon.

Many photos featuring Chris Evans arriving on the set have been released on the web. The video of the shooting has also been released on YouTube video. It shows how the street was transformed into the 42nd Street of New York City and hit by a massive explosion that made a panic attack in the city during the production.

A few pictures taken on-set of The Avengers give sneak peeks to some astounding special effects used in the movie. They give a look at NYC yellow cabs and cars that are being blown into the air by a destructive explosion. They also features heavy damage on the set with ruined buildings as the background.

However, The Avengers is based on famous Marvel Comics characters like Captain America, The Hulk, Iron Man and Thor. Before the shooting began in East Ninth Street, the production team has finished the filming in NASA facility in Plum Brook near Sandusky last week and Samuel L Jackson and Jeremy Renner had taken part in it.
