Irish
actor
Colin
Farrell
attended
the
funeral
of
actress
Elizabeth
Taylor,
who
died
of
congestive
heart
failure,
and
paid
moving
tribute
to
her
departed
soul
by
reciting
Gerard
Manley
Hopkins'
poem.
But
many
were
surprised
by
the
incident
because
hardly
anything
was
known
about
his
friendship
with
Hollywood
Dame.
But
the
actor
has
now
cleared
the
doubts
about
his
relationship
with
her.
When
quizzed
about
his
friendship
with
Liz
at
CinemaCon
2011
in
Las
Vega,
Colin
Farrell
revealed
how
he
became
friends
with
her.
"How
did
we
become
friends?
You
know,
the
old
story
of
boy
meets
girl
and
boy
pesters
girl
with
too
many
phone
calls
at
inappropriate
hours
of
the
night," Access
Hollywood
reports
him
as
telling.
The
actor
had
come
closer
to
the
late
legendary
actress
just
one
and
half
year
ago.
He
feels
that
he
was
just
lucky
enough
to
become
her
friend.
Farrell
confesses
that
he
was
nervous
when
he
recited
the
poem
'The
Leaden
Echo
and
the
Golden
Echo' at
her
funeral.
Talking
about
the
poem,
he
said,
"Elizabeth
chose
it.
It
was
a
tricky
poem
as
well.
Even
in
passing
she
had
me
under
the
thumb,
sweating
bricks
I
just
miss
her;
I
just
miss
her;
I
just
miss
her."
