The Devil’s Double arriving India on Aug 12

Lee Tamahori"s The Devil"s Double, which has been applauded at the Berlin, Sundance and Cannes film festivals, is all set to hit the theatres in India on August 12. Rakesh Jain of JRD Films is releasing it throughout the country.

“I was really keen on getting this film to India. Mel Gibson has bought the rights of the film to release it in the UK and Australia. The kind of response the film has got at all the festivals is tremendous. I am so glad that fans who have been waiting to see this masterpiece will not have to wait for too long now," Jain said in a statement.

The Devil"s Double, which features Dominic Cooper, Philip Quast and Ludivine Sagnier, is based on the real life story of an Iraqi soldier named Latif Yahia. It revolves around his troubles, when was made to become the body double of Saddam Hussein's saddistic son, Uday Hussein.
