Freida Pinto opens about her racy photoshoots in 2010

Actress Freida Pinto has now broken her silence over a series of racy photoshoots for the US version of GQ Magazine in 2010 and said that it was her deliberate attempt to shed her nice-girl image. The Slumdog Millionaire star has defended the photoshoot by saying was entirely her decision and she was not manipulated into taking part in it.

Freida Pinto has cleared the rumours that have been making rounds ever since she posed for the men's magazine. In an interview to You magazine, the actress said, "The decision to do those pictures was mine. I definitely knew how I wanted to look. A stylist may have chosen the clothes but the decision to wear them was mine. I would hate to feel that I was being objectified."

The Miral actress does not think that posing for a photoshoot is a sexist issue. She added, "I have always said that a woman's sexuality should not be used in a way that is demeaning to her. But, you know, I don't think this is a sexist issue any more because actors are strutting their stuff in photoshoots just as much as actresses now."

However, the actress, who is reportedly dating her co-star Dev Patel, came to limelight with the movie Slumdog Millionaire. Later, she has acted in movies like You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger and Miral in 2010. She is currently busy with the shooting of films like Rise of the Apes and Immortals.
