By Raymond Ronamai

Actress Freida Pinto, who shot to fame with her Oscar winning debut film, Slumdog Millionaire, is back in the news. The film, Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, where she plays the role of a scientist, is all set to release on August 11. In an interview to the Daily Mirror, the actress shared her experiences while shooting the film.

Digging deep into her character in the film, she said, “I play Caroline, a primatologist who is Will"s love interest in the film. She has dedicated her entire life to learning about chimps and their behaviour. She"s also the voice of reason who raises ethical questions that come up about the research."

The actress however said that she didn't get the chance to spend time with the chimpanzees, though she plays the role of a scientist, who is specialises in their behaviour. “I would have loved to but there wasn"t much opportunity. But I did spend a lot of time reading about chimps, and also examining [famous primatologist] Jane Goodall"s interviews and all her You Tube video links, so I did that kind of research," she said.
