Actor Ryan Gosling is reportedly teaming up with Johnny Depp for director Gore Verbinski's upcoming movie, The Lone Ranger. Sources claim that the 30-year-old Hollywood star is in talks with Walt Disney Pictures to play the main role alongside Johnny Depp in the movie.
It was reported earlier that actor George Clooney would play the title role in the film The Lone Ranger. But producer Jerry Bruckheimer had silenced the rumours stating that he was looking for a director first. Having selected Gore Verbinsk as the director, the producer is now said to be in negotiations with Ryan Gosling for the hero of the film.
The Lone Ranger, is an adaptation of George W. Trendle's classic old-time radio and early television show of the same name and Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio are writing the adaptation. The movie revolves around a masked Texas Ranger, who survived the deathly ambush by a gang of outlaws.
If everything would go well with his negotiation, then Ryan Gosling would play the title role as masked Texas Ranger. Johnny Depp will reprise the role of his American assistant Tonto. Along with Tonto and white horse named Silver, Ryan Gosling sets his sight to bring every outlaw in the Old West to justice.
