Anne Hathaway, will.i.am creates riot at Rio premiere in LA

Actress Anne Hathaway and Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am has triggered a riot at the premiere of the movie Rio in Los Angeles on April 10. Movie buffs and journalists ran to the voice cast of the animated movie to take their photos on blue carpet. As a result of this, many stars had to enter the theatre for screening late.

Celebrities like Anne Hathaway, Leslie Mann, will.i.am, Jesse Eisenberg, Jamie Foxx and Rodrigo Santoro, who have lent their voice for the film, started coming to the Rio premiere at Grauman's Chinese Theatre at around 01:00 pm. Everybody rushed to take their pictures, which resulted in making the stars to hustle to enter the theatre.

However, Rio is a 3D computer-animated film. Directed by Carlos Saldanha, the movie is set in Rio de Janeiro. Under development for years, Rio is considered Brazilian-born Saldanha's dream project. Saldanha reported that the film would be more musical than his comedic Ice Age movies.

Rio revolves around Blu, a rare macaw who thinks he is the last of his kind and cannot fly. When Blu discovers there's another - and that she's a she - he leaves the comforts of his cage in small town Minnesota and heads to Rio. Unexpectedly thrown together, they embark on an adventure of a lifetime, where they learn about friendship, love, courage, and being open to life's many wonders.
