Actress Isla Fisher is likely to join the cast of director Baz
Luhrmann's 3D movie The Great Gatsby. It is reported that
the Hollywood stars is in talks with the movie bosses to play one
of the central characters in the film. If the talks ends up
fruitful, she will star alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire
and Carey Mulligan.
The Great Gatsby is an adaptation of F Scott
Fitzgerald's novel. The movie revolves around Nick Carraway, who is
lured into the lavish world of his neighbor Jay Gatsby. However,
Carraway will see through the cracks of Gatsby's nouveau riche
existence, where obsession, madness, and tragedy await.
Isla Fisher is reportedly negotiating for the role of Myrtle
Wilson aka Tom's mistress. Myrtle is a woman married to a garage
mechanic George Wilson but is weak to the charm of Tom. Leonardo
DiCaprio has been cast as the mysterious playboy Jay Gatsby and
Tobey Maguire plays narrator Nick Carraway, while Carey Mulligan
slips in the role of Tom's wife Daisy.
