is
once
again
joining
hands
with
his
dad.
The
combo's
latest
film
titled
One
Thousand
AE
and
it
will
be
directed
by
M
Night
Shyamalan,
who
has
previously
directed
The
Last
Airbender.
Sony
Pictures
has
recently
made
an
official
announcement
about
the
film
One
Thousand
AE.
Talking
about
the
film,
Doug
Belgrad,
the
president
of
Columbia
Pictures,
said,
“Night
is
an
outstanding
filmmaker
who
has
a
tremendous
vision
for
this
science-fiction
adventure
story
and
we
couldn't
be
more
excited
to
be
working
again
with
Jaden
after
our
experiences
on
The
Pursuit
of
Happiness
and
The
Karate
Kid."
The
studio
refers
to
the
movie
as
an
untitled
sci-fi
adventure,
but
Shyamalan
calls
it
One
Thousand
AE.
In
the
press
release,
Shyamalan
says,
“We're
thrilled
to
have
the
two
of
them
(Jaden
and
Will)
together
on
this
project.
The
chance
to
make
a
scary,
science-fiction
film
starring
Jaden
and
Will
is
my
dream
project."

Night
Shyamalan
is
writing
the
story
for
One
Thousand
AE
in
association
with
Gary
Whitta.
The
movie
is
set
one
thousand
years
into
the
future,
when
Earth
has
been
abandoned.
It
centers
on
a
young
boy
and
his
father,
who
explores
the
now
empty
and
frightening
planet
after
their
spacecraft
crashes.
