Jordan 'to file for divorce from Alex Reid on their first wedding anniversary'

London, Feb 2 (ANI): Katie Price will apparently file for divorce from estranged husband Alex Reid in eight days - on the exact date the couple tied the knot. During Monday's 15-minute meeting at her Surrey mansion, Alex, 35, finally agreed to a divorce.

Lawyers told Katie it is the earliest possible date because divorces cannot get under way until 12 months after tying the knot, reports the Sun. "Katie is chomping at the bit to file papers but has been told she has to wait until the one-year marker," a friend said.

"She told Alex she will petition for divorce as soon as possible, which is a week on Thursday. He has agreed. This is one of several significant gestures on his part but he still wants to make sure he gets a good deal," the friend added.

After Monday's showdown, Alex said: "It's the end of the road. I'll probably leave here with the shirt on my back and that's it. My priority now is finding somewhere to live."
