Kate Winslet finds 'Mildred Pierce' role tough

Actress Kate Winslet says that it was very tough job to play the role in new TV mini-series 'Mildred Pierce'. The actress, who ended her relationship with husband Sam Mendes in 2010, had to portray a break up scene, but the scene reminded her of the split from Sam, which made her struggle.

Kate Winslet has revealed that it was difficult for her to enact the scene. Talking to the Daily Express about her role, She said, "It was tough. There were moments like that one where I was using things from my own life in my performance. There were days when I'd almost feel comatose."

The Oscar award winner star plays an American in the 1930s in Mildred Pierce, which is a remake of the 1945 Joan Crawford film. "I connected with Mildred. I share her survival instinct. My parents didn't have any money. I know what it's like to work hard to get by and make something of yourself," she said.
