actor
Kevin
Costner
has
reportedly
signed
the
deal
to
star
in
the
Warner
Bros.

According
to
sources,
the
star
will
portray

adoptive
father
Jonathan
Kent
in
the
movie,
which
will
be
directed
by
Zack
Snyder.
Now,
he
will
join
actors'
group
that
includes
Henry
Cavill
as
the
Man
of
Steel
and
Diane
Lane
as
Martha

Warners
Bros
has
confirmed
the
news
of
roping
in
Kevin
for
the
film.
"Jonathan
Kent
is
the
only
father
figure
Clark
has
ever
had,
the
man
who
was
there
to
help
Clark
understand
what
he
was
meant
to
do
in
the
world
as
Superman.
Kevin
will
be
able
to
communicate
the
quiet
strength
of
this
rural
American
man
who
raised
the
greatest
superhero
of
all
time," the
Hollywood
Reporter
quotes
the
official
statement
of
WB.
Pa
Kent's
character
suffered
a

Donner
Superman
movie
some
of
its
poignancy.
But
it
is
now
not
clear
whether
Costner
will
have
an
on-screen
death
in
new
Superman
fim,
which
is
produced
by
Charles
Roven,
Emma
Thomas,
Christopher
Nolan
and
Deborah
Snyder.
